Terms of Service

Last updated · April 27, 2026

By installing or using Blurward (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. The Service is provided by the company identified on our legal notice page ("we", "us"). If you don't agree with any of the Terms, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Blurward is a Chrome browser extension that masks sensitive information on your screen in real time. It is offered in two tiers:

  • Free — full feature set, with a small watermark over masked areas.
  • Pro — same protection, no watermark, billed as a recurring subscription.

2. Account

The Free tier can be used without an account. Pro requires an account, which you create with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.

3. Payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Polar.sh. Prices are displayed on the Pricing section in EUR and include applicable taxes. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose) until you cancel.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro access until the period ends and are not charged further.

5. Refunds

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase, exercised by emailing info@blurward.com. Note that under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, by starting to use the Pro service within those 14 days you expressly waive the withdrawal right for digital content. Beyond the 14-day window, fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service;
  • use the Service to engage in or facilitate illegal activity;
  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, and brand — is our property and is protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are transferred.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is". We do our best to mask sensitive content, but the Service is a tool to reduce risk, not a guarantee of perfect privacy. Some highly customised pages may need additional rules. You remain responsible for what you choose to share on your screen.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us during the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and (for Pro) cancelling your subscription.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent Estonian courts.

12. Contact

For any question about these Terms email info@blurward.com.
